Two jobs now, not one. Ranking in Google still matters, and increasingly the answer a buyer reads was written by an assistant that decided which sources to trust. We build for both.

Two jobs now, not one. Ranking in Google still matters, and increasingly the answer a buyer reads was written by an assistant that decided which sources to trust. We build for both.

You are publishing on instinct.

Most operators we meet have a blog nobody asked for and no idea which searches are worth owning.

  • Pages written because somebody had an idea, not because anyone was searching
  • No sense of which terms carry real volume and which carry none
  • Content that reads fine and ranks for nothing, because it aims at a phrase no one types
  • Structured data missing or wrong, so search engines have to guess what your business is
  • ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity describing what you do inaccurately, or not naming you at all

What we build.

The order matters. Demand first, architecture second, pages last. Writing before you have the map is how the blog nobody asked for gets made.

  • A demand map, sized. Every search your buyers actually run, grouped into topics and sized by the volume behind it. Every page after this points at something on the map, and you can name what it points at.
  • Page and content architecture. The site restructured around that map: what deserves its own page, what should be one page instead of six, how they link, and which pages carry the commercial weight.
  • Structured data that stays true. Schema for your organization, services, locations, and questions, generated from the site's own content rather than hand written once and left to rot a month after launch.
  • Answer engine optimization. The work that makes an assistant able to quote you: crawler access, an llms.txt, clean entity signals, and answers written as self contained passages a model can lift without mangling.
  • A live dashboard. Search Console and analytics pulled together and refreshed daily, so you watch position, coverage, and traffic move without booking a call to ask us.

Why AI search is a different job.

Classic search sends people to you. Answer engines answer instead, and only the sources they trust get named.

A ranked list rewards the page that best matches a query. An assistant does something else: it reads several sources, synthesizes one answer, and cites a few. If your page is not machine readable, unambiguous about who you are, and written in passages that survive being lifted out of context, you are not in that answer no matter where you rank.

So the work splits. Some of it is familiar: technical health, architecture, internal linking, content that deserves to rank. Some of it is new: making sure the crawlers behind the assistants can reach you, that your structured data says plainly what you do and where, and that key answers exist as clean, quotable, self contained blocks rather than buried in a paragraph of throat clearing.

We do both in the same engagement, because splitting them across two vendors is how you end up ranking well and still being invisible in the answer your buyer actually reads.

Who this is for.

  • Platforms and marketplaces. Where organic search is the acquisition channel and a page template applied across thousands of listings either compounds or quietly wastes crawl budget.
  • Multi location operators. Where the same service is sold in several cities and every location either earns its own page properly or cannibalizes the others.
  • Operators with a category to own. Property management, real estate, trades, and services, where the buyer runs a specific search with real intent and there is a clear answer to be the source of.

Questions, answered straight

How is this different from a normal SEO retainer? Two differences. We map and size demand before writing anything, so every page has a reason to exist you can name. And we do the answer engine work in the same engagement, so you are findable by assistants, not just ranked in a list.

What is answer engine optimization? The work that lets ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI answers find you, understand what you do, and quote you correctly. In practice that is crawler access, an llms.txt, accurate structured data, and answers written as self contained passages a model can lift cleanly.

How long before anything moves? Technical fixes and structured data can register in weeks. Content and architecture work on the timescale search actually moves on, which is months, not days. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you a number we cannot hit.

Do you write the content? We can, and we can also hand your team the map, the architecture, and the brief so they write it in their own voice. The plan works either way, which is the point.

Will you show us what is actually happening? Yes. You get a dashboard pulling from Search Console and analytics daily. You do not have to ask us what changed, and you do not have to take our word for it.

What does it cost? A fixed fee, quoted on the discovery call once we know the size of the site and the shape of the work. If we do not believe it will pay for itself, we say so on the call.
