You cannot answer the phone from under a sink.
Plumbing runs on the phone, and the phone rings while your hands are full. We build and run the AI that answers every call, books the job, and gets the real emergency to you, without adding office staff.
The missed call is the most expensive thing in the shop.
The homeowner with a burst pipe does not leave a voicemail. They hang up and call the next plumber on the list, and that job, and every job that customer ever calls about again, goes with them.
- Calls that come in while the crew is on a job, and land in a voicemail nobody checks until dinner
- After hours emergencies handled by whoever's cell happens to be on, or not handled at all
- An answering service that takes a name and a number, and loses everything else the caller said
- Quotes promised from the truck and forgotten by the next morning
- The same job details typed three times: on the call, into the schedule, onto the invoice
What we build.
A phone line that never rings out, and the trades shaped system behind it. Built and operated for you, not handed over as software to configure between service calls.
- A voice agent that answers every call. It picks up on the first ring, at 2pm and at 2am. It is trained on your services and your service area, knows a burst line from a dripping tap, asks what your dispatcher would ask, and treats the caller like a customer rather than a ticket.
- Emergency triage, by your rules. You decide what counts as an emergency and whose phone rings for it. The system holds that line at 3am exactly as you set it, and everything that can wait becomes a booked morning appointment instead of a lost caller.
- Booking into the calendar you already run. Jobs land in your schedule with the address, the problem, and everything the caller already said. Nobody re asks the questions the phone call answered, and nobody copies them between tabs.
- A CRM shaped like a trades business. Jobs, quotes, callbacks, and invoices in one place, built around the way a crew actually works rather than a sales office. The same build we run in production for trades operators today.
- Follow up that does not depend on memory. The quote that went quiet gets chased, the finished job gets a review ask, and the annual maintenance customer hears from you before the season does. Automatically, every time.
Why done for you beats another app.
The software to answer a plumber's phone exists. What does not exist is your time to set it up, tune it, and keep it honest.
Most AI receptionists are sold self serve: sign up, record a greeting, wire the calendar, write the prompts, then keep adjusting it every time it books a drain cleaning as an emergency at 3am. That is a part time job, and it lands on the person who already runs dispatch.
We do the whole thing. The agent is designed around your services, your service area, and your definition of an emergency. It is tested against real call patterns before it ever takes a call alone, and tuned month over month as we listen to how it performs. When something needs to change, you say it in plain English and we change it.
And every call is logged: what was said, what was booked, what was escalated, and why. You can read any conversation the agent has had, which is exactly the standard you would hold a new hire to.
Who this is for.
- Service and repair shops. Where the day is booked by the phone, and a missed morning call is a competitor's afternoon job.
- Emergency and after hours operators. Where being reachable at 2am is the business model, and the on call rotation is quietly burning people out.
- Multi crew operations. Where dispatch, quoting, and follow up have outgrown the whiteboard, but nobody wants software built for a sales office.
Questions, answered straight
Will callers know it is not a person? The agent does not pretend to be human, and it does not need to. Callers care that the phone got answered, the problem was understood, and help is on the way. The frustrating robot experience comes from badly built systems, not from the idea.
What happens with a real emergency? Whatever you decide should happen. Most operators set a rule like: burst pipes, sewage backups, and no water ring through to the on call phone immediately, everything else books the next available slot. The agent follows your rule every time, and logs what it did.
Will this replace my office staff? No, and we do not take on engagements whose purpose is cutting headcount. This takes the 7pm calls nobody is paid to answer, and the retyping between systems, off the people you already have.
Does it work with the software we already use? That is the point of building it for you rather than selling you another app. We wire the agent and the follow up into whatever you run today, from a shared calendar to a full field service platform. Where a tool has no way in, we say so up front.
How fast can it be live? Weeks, not months. The agent is tested against your real call patterns before it takes a live call, then starts on the calls you choose. Most operators start it after hours first, where the choice is the agent or voicemail.
What does it cost? A fixed setup and a monthly fee to operate it, quoted on the call once we know your call volume and your systems. If the numbers do not work at your volume, we tell you that on the call.
